Inclusion Ministry

MHIM-LOGO

Mountain View United Church’s Inclusion Ministry enables, empowers, and engages all persons to participate fully in the life of our faith community, regardless of ability. It is not a program or about a special class, but rather a way of doing ministry and pastoral care with every person who wishes to participate in our faith community, for we agree with the Psalmist that everyone is a “fearfully and wonderfully” made child of God (Psalm 139).

Our congregation is currently blessed to do ministry with adults living with significant mental health and substance use challenges as well as neurodiverse adults, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities living in host homes throughout the Denver Metro and Boulder areas. We also warmly welcome children with special needs into our community and happily coordinate with parents to provide what any child needs to participate in our worship services and social activities.

We are also committed to making both our building and our ministry more accessible to individuals with physical and invisible disabilities by working through the United Church of Christ Disability Ministry’s Access 2 All (A2A) Certification program.

To find out more about Mountain View’s Inclusion Ministry or share how our faith community can be accessible to you and your family, contact Pastor Tracy.
